Ever wanted to learn Upholstery?
We have a variety of courses and workshops. The upholstery course takes place over 6 evenings or mornings. You should complete a couple of projects and will learn the foundation techniques of traditional upholstery as well as some decorative finishing This is ideal for beginners but also suitable for those wishing to take on more advanced projects.
Make a Footstool in a Day
We run this popular one-day workshop every couple of months and its a great intro to the craft. You will learn basic techniques of traditional and modern upholstery and go home with a solid piece of furniture, customised to your design.
All classes are limited to 6 students and are taught by an established professional upholsterer.
This 6-week course in traditional upholstery is 6.30-9pm. You can work on your own furniture or choose to create a footstool from scratch and it's suitable for complete beginners or those with some experience. We send out an information sheet to help you choose projects but if you would like a copy prior to booking please get in touch!
The Thursday and Friday morning sessions are 10am-12.30. In addition to the 6-week course, existing students can book single sessions for occasional help with advanced projects or use of specialist tools. The 6-week block also has the option to make a footstool.
All courses include the use of tools and consumables.
