Machine Sewing Courses
At Creative Space we offer regular structured courses and workshops for beginners wanting to learn the basics of machine sewing. We also run a variety of follow on courses including dressmaking, where you can learn how to decode a pattern and make your very own pyjama bottoms from scratch. We also teach kids and teen beginner sewing and intermediate classes, plus one-off sewing days in the holidays, which you can also find here.

Japanese Cross Back Apron
Improve your dressmaking skills with this Japanese cross back apron sewing workshop.
In this full day class, Lauren will expertly guide you through the process of creating your very own beautiful Japanese apron. Learn how to cut out a pattern from your own fabric along with sewing a variety of seams and finishings.
Sewing machines and accessories will be provided, however you are also welcome to bring your own, please advise on booking. £75

bag making for beginners
Have you been itching to learn some basic sewing skills? If so, this bag making sewing workshop is the perfect start to your sewing journey! In this 3 hour class you’ll make a beautiful, professionally finished shoulder bag to take home.
Lauren will guide you through the whole process, showing you how to thread and use the machine and construct your bag along with providing plenty of tips and tricks on sewing techniques for you to use in future projects. Sewing machines and materials provided. £60

Join Lizzie in this friendly 3-hour workshop in Bristol and discover the mindful magic of embroidery. Lizzie will guide you through 7 essential stitches, giving your creative projects a beautiful boost of texture and detail.

advanced embroidery
Join Lizzie in a 3 hour Advanced Embroidery Workshop, designed for those who have a grasp of the basics and are looking to expand their stitch repertoire. This workshop is the perfect next step, building on the fundamental stitches you've already learned. You will discover how to transform and develop stitches like the back stitch and stem stitch into more intricate and beautiful designs. In this mindful and creative session, you will master 6 new stitches, adding depth and texture to your future projects. Suitable for children from 10 years. £30
