Cancellation and refunds - Room hire

Room hire is subject to full payment on booking to secure the space and inclusion on the Creative Space website, within our publicity and use of the display window. First time users may pay 50% deposit with the balance due 1 week prior to the event. In both cases 50% is non-refundable. Room hire cancellations withing 3 calendar months will be entitled to a 50% refund if paid in full. No refunds will be given for cancellations within 3 months, although if possible you may be able to move your credit to another similar date. (i.e a weekday to a weekday). We will only move credits once per booking.

 

Cancellation and refunds - Courses

Many of the courses which take place at Creative Space are booked directly through the teacher. In these cases please refer to the terms of the party through which your booking was made.

 

For courses booked and paid directly through Creative Space:  If a course is cancelled by Creative Space for any reason, the student will be entitled to a full refund or the option to re-schedule. If the student wishes to cancel the course, a refund of 80% will be given up to 21 days prior to the course start date. This is to allow for admin and payment processing costs. If a student cancels within 21 days, we will try to fill their space and process a refund of 80% but if this is not possible no refund will be due.

Health and safety

Please note that the courses take place in an active workshop environment and will involve the use of hand tools and domestic power tools.  A health and safety talk will be given at the beginning of every course and full instruction will be given on the safe use of tools every time a new one is introduced.  First aid supplies are available on site.  All students are expected to work safely, be considerate to the students working around them and leave their workspace tidy at the end of each class.

Voucher Terms

Vouchers can be redeemed against courses and workshops at Creative Space. The class does not have to take place before the expiry date as long as the booking is made before. Cancellations or re-schedule of voucher spaces can be made up to 28 days before the event. After that, they cannot be cancelled or exchanged for another course or date. No part of the voucher is exchangeable for cash or materials.

Parking

On road parking is available locally.  It is free after 5pm.  Between 9am and 5pm there are parking metres at £1 per hour or if you are attending a day class you can book all day parking for £4. Please let your teacher know.

Photos and social media

Please tag us in any social media posts! If there are any students in the class who don't wish to appear on social media please be respectful of this if you post your photos.

Storage and Lost Property

We cannot store projects for students between courses. Any furniture left will be kept for 4 weeks in the shop and we will ask you to collect it. After that it will be removed to a storage unit at a charge of £2 per week. After 6 months, if not collected or if the storage charge exceeds any credit, it will be disposed of.

 

Lost property will be kept at the studio for one month. If not collected within this time, it will be disposed of.
