Our home crafts workshops include a wide range of changing creative classes including rag-rugging, cake decorating, lampshade making and mandala painting. These workshops are run by external tutors so clicking the booking link will take you to their specific booking page.
Rag Rugging

​​A full-day workshop designed to give you all the skills you need to be able to start any rag rug project for yourself at home. Learn the traditional shaggy, short shaggy and loopy techniques of rag rugging into hessian, whilst making a project of your choice.

Discover the calm and joy of mandala art in this relaxing and creative stone painting workshop. Perfect for beginners and those looking to refine their skills, you’ll learn simple techniques to create beautiful designs on smooth handmade stones. This tried and tested workshop has been a favourite with past participants, who love the mindful process and the stunning results. You’ll leave with a hand-painted 10cm diameter stone that make lovely decorations, gifts, or little reminders of calm and creativity.

Every step, from choosing colours, practicing, making gridlines and painting is demonstrated and each individual supported and guided. You should leave calmer than you started, and with a piece of art you can be proud of!

A Hands-On Making Workshop

Designed and led by interior designer Hannah Redden, this intimate workshop invites you to make a beautiful drum lampshade that's entirely your own. Choose a 20cm or 30cm shade, select your fabric, and craft a finishing touch that will bring warmth and personality to any room.

​Hannah provides everything you need for the structure of your lampshade, all you need to bring is your chosen fabric. Not sure what to pick? Firm cotton fabrics tend to work beautifully, but feel free to email info@hannahredden.co.uk with any questions before the day.​​

Handprinted Lampshade

Step into a world of pattern and light and discover the magic of hand-printing your own design onto fabric, then transforming it into a beautiful, glowing lampshade you’ll be proud to light up your home with.
Spend a joyful day exploring the art of block printing, guided by your skilled tutor. You’ll carve your own printing block from scratch, using your own motif or choose from a collection of ready-to-use templates.
Once your fabric is printed, it’s time to craft: you’ll learn how to carefully assemble your fabric into a stunning 20cm x 18cm drum lampshade—perfect for a bedside table, craft nook, or cosy corner.
And the creativity doesn’t end when you leave! Take home not just your handmade lampshade, but also your carved block and the know-how to keep printing in your own studio or kitchen table.

A winter themed cupcake decorating class where you'll discover the secrets behind making intricate buttercream flowers and learn how to craft beautiful designs to take home and share with friends and family. Even if you've never tried cake decorating before, you're in good hands with friendly instructor, Rebecca. Working with top-quality ingredients and professional tools, you'll experience the joy of seeing your ideas take shape as edible art.
