Exploring sgraffito

Discover the art of Sgraffito on Glass in this workshop, expertly guided by glass artist and teacher Dawn Beedle. You will learn how to use the sgraffito technique, which means 'scratched away' in Italian. This process creates a stunning pattern in silhouette that looks beautiful when hung in a window. Using your own individual lightbox and special tools, you will transfer your design onto your chosen glass, bringing your piece to life by gently engraving your pattern or image into the paint. Dawn will take all the work back to her studio in Bristol to fire the glass, making the paint permanent. There is also the option to have your piece with a leaded surround.
