Our home crafts workshops include a wide range of changing creative classes including rag-rugging, cake decorating, lampshade making and mandala painting. These workshops are run by external tutors so clicking the booking link will take you to their specific booking page.

Perfect for beginners and those looking to refine their skills, you’ll learn simple techniques to create this beautiful geometric floral design on a 6" / 15m diameter shallow dish. Mandala art has been used for centuries across continents, as a relaxing and mindful art form that is accessible to the artist and non-artist alike. You’ll leave with a hand-painted dish in the colours of your choosing, that makes a lovely functional item, decoration, gift, or a little reminder of calm and creativity.

Rag Rugging

​​A full-day workshop designed to give you all the skills you need to be able to start any rag rug project for yourself at home. Learn the traditional shaggy, short shaggy and loopy techniques of rag rugging into hessian, whilst making a project of your choice.

Handprinted Lampshade
​
Step into a world of pattern and light and discover the magic of hand-printing your own design onto fabric, then transforming it into a beautiful, glowing lampshade you’ll be proud to light up your home with.
Carve your own printing block from scratch, using your own motif or choose from a collection of ready-to-use templates.
Once your fabric is printed, it’s time to craft: you’ll learn how to carefully assemble your fabric into a stunning 20cm x 18cm drum lampshade—perfect for a bedside table, craft nook, or cosy corner. Take home not just your handmade lampshade, but also your carved block and the know-how to keep printing in your own studio or kitchen table.

introduction to Kintsugi

Join Clara Bethell-Sacks to learn the Japanese art of kintsugi repair for broken ceramics. Spend a relaxed few hours with likeminded folk, mindfully immersed in the processes, tools and materials of kintsugi. You will be supported to complete a repair using epoxy, coated with traditional natural Japanese Urushi (tree sap) lacquer and finished to a stunning gold-hued shine with fine brass powder. Suitable for complete beginners, all tools and materials provided.

A beautiful, handmade gift to yourself, or someone you love, just in time for Christmas. All structure materials provided; just bring your fabric!
