Jewellery Workshops

Create your own bespoke jewellery on one of our our masterclass jewellery making workshops in Bristol.

Make your own nature-inspired pieces using silver clay, learn how to set a stone into a ring, or make a beautiful textured pendant using the technique of reticulation with our expert tutors. The perfect craft workshop for beginners where you can escape from the outside world, immerse yourself in creativity and go home with a handmade treasure to be proud of!

ONE STONE RING

In this jewellery workshop you'll learn how to make a simple single stone ring with Gypsy Jeweller founder Caitlin, who has over 20 years experience in the craftYou'll have the option to create either two rings made of silver wire set with a small faceted stone or a one thicker silver wire ring set with either a Cabochon (rounded) stone or a faceted (cut sparkly) stone. Students will select their stones and options prior to class.

At the end of the workshop, you will take your ring(s) home along with a comprehensive ‘How-To’ handout (inc. what materials and tools were used and the best place to buy them from) so you can replicate and practice the technique at home.

Reticulated Silver earrings or pendant​

 

In this full day workshop Caitlin from Gypsy Jeweller will teach you how to reticulate silver - a versatile technique to create a textural quality to your work, add interest and keep your creations totally unique and one-of-a-kind! You will create your own pair of earrings or a pendant with your reticulated silver (including a bail to be able to attach it to a chain).

At the end of the workshop, you will take your creation(s) home along with a comprehensive ‘How-To’ handout (inc. what materials and tools were used and the best place to buy them from) so you can replicate and practice the technique at home.

Learn the art of Kuem Boo

 

Keum Boo is the ancient Korean Art of applying gold foil (not leaf, Foil is thicker) to silver. Caitlin of Gypsy Jeweller will show you how to apply gold foil to sterling and fine silver, along with how to oxidise your work (if you choose), to create a dramatic, attractive black and gold look.

You will make a pendant from your creations and leave with your own unique piece of gold and silver jewellery plus a ‘How-To hand out’ which will enable you to practice this technique at home. Price includes all materials.
