Kids Machine Sewing Workshop

Description

Our kids sewing workshop is ideal if your child or teen is interested in machine sewing but doesn't have the confidence or basic skills to get started. Here, Lauren will teach the basic techniques and students will make a drawstring bag and a personalised appliqué cushion. Includes threading and setting up, different stitches, hemming, applique, and making and joining pieces of a simple pattern. Sewing machines, accessories and materials provided but if your child has their own machine they are welcome to bring it. Class runs from 10am-3pm with a break for lunch (not provided). Minimum age 9 years, max 6 students. This is a drop-off course but a carer may stay if that works better with your child. Just let us know so we can plan the layout. PLEASE NOTE: We need a minimum of 3 participants for the workshop to go ahead. We will inform you 7 days before the workshop date if we haven't met this number.
