Description

Discover the art of traditional Chinese knotting, where a single continuous cord is transformed into elegant symmetrical forms rich in cultural symbolism. During the 2 hour class you will learn one or two classic knotting techniques to create a finished hanging ornament. The workshop also introduces the structural logic behind Chinese knots and the meanings traditionally associated with different patterns. This meditative and accessible session encourages concentration and is suitable for beginners. You will end the session with your own handcrafted lucky knot hanging to take home.
