This craft workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals of bamboo weaving, a traditional craft rooted in rhythm, repetition, and structure, taught by expert tutor Amy Chen. Using pre-prepared bamboo strips, you will learn basic weaving techniques and patterns, gradually building a small decorative object. The process focuses on understanding tension, structure, and the interlocking logic of the material. The workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those looking to refine their skills, all materials and tool are included. The class is also suitable for children from 12 years old, who will be provided with child-friendly tools and materials. About the Tutor: Amy Chen is an artist and educator specialising in community- based craft and art workshops. Her practice focuses on bridging traditional cultural knowledge with contemporary aesthetics through hands-on learning experiences.
