Ragged Life
Nessa Hubbard is a textile designer, educator, and maker with a BA in Textiles and an MA in Textile Design. She has been teaching creative textile skills for many years, helping people develop practical techniques while discovering the satisfaction of making with their hands. Her work spans knitting, crochet, textile construction, and creative problem-solving, with a particular interest in traditional craft skills and how they can be adapted for contemporary makers. Through her teaching, Nessa encourages a calm, accessible approach to learning, believing that creativity grows through curiosity, practice, and the willingness to experiment.
Nessa just loves teaching people to rag rug, it is such a wonderful forgiving craft which is easy to learn and uses up leftover material from other crafts or old clothes and transforms it into something useful and beautiful. Nessa has teamed up with Ragged Life as a tutor to spread the rag rugging joy to the Creative Space community.
