Improve your dressmaking skills in this 3 week sewing course at Creative Space and make the Nell Blouse or Dress sewing pattern from Tilly and the Buttons. Learn, step-by-step, how to sew a timeless easy-to-wear garment with the expert guidance of our sewing tutor. Learn how to create gathers, neck facings, sew darts and buttonholes in this intermediate sewing course designed to give you a good grounding of core dressmaking skills and techniques. Simple to sew, this mix ‘n’ match pattern includes four blouse and dress options and four sleeve styles to choose from, plus optional patch pockets and the choice of a button-front style or on-trend tie opening. - Straight blouse, peplum blouse, knee-length or midi-length gathered dress - Relaxed fit bodice with bust darts - V neckline finished with a facing - Choice of button-front opening or faux bow ties with hidden snaps - Four sleeve options: short and straight, bracelet-length, flutter, or lined puffball - Optional patch pockets on the bodice or skirt IMPORTANT: This workshop is an advanced beginner class meaning you will already be able to thread and use the basic functions on a sewing machine and have a little experience of dressmaking already. If you are new to making clothes we advise joining our Introduction to Dressmaking - make a pair of PJ bottoms first. WHAT'S INCLUDED? - Sewing machine hire, although you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. - Sewing accessories (if needed) - Tilly & the Buttons pattern (including 4 garment options) - Interfacing and thread You will need to bring your own fabric and buttons/sew on snaps - after booking we will be in contact to advise of required quantities and suggested fabrics. This workshop runs on Monday 27th Oct, 3rd & 10th November, 6pm-9pm at our location in Staple Hill and taught by experienced sewing teacher Jacqui Reeves. Maximum 6 students each with separate work benches.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations by Creative Space: • In the event we need to cancel the course or workshop for whatever reason you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another date free of charge. Cancellations by the attendee: • For courses booked and paid directly through Creative Space a refund of 85% will be given up to 14 days prior to the course start date. The fee is to allow for admin and payment processing costs. If a student cancels within 14 days we are unable to offer a refund. • If your circumstances change e.g. due to work commitments, childcare issues, moving away etc. a refund will not be given within 14 days of the workshop. • We consider all requests on an individual basis, depending on the circumstances. Rescheduling: • You may transfer to another course or workshop up to 14 days before the start date.
