Course description
Learn how to weave a variety of seasonal stars, Christmas trees and reindeer in this beginner weaving workshop at Creative Space. These decorations make perfect gifts for loved ones or use them to adorn your own home year after year. Your decorations will be made with a combination of UK grown willow and foraged materials. Mary's supportive, relaxed teaching style will guide you through the various stages of making your woven Christmas decorations . You will gain an understanding of how the willow behaves as you weave and, after the final trimming up, you will have multiple decorations you will be proud to take home. You will learn about the simple tools that are used in basketry and some basic weaving patterns that can be applied to a wide range of projects in the future. This workshop is suitable for beginners or those with more experience. All tools and materials will be provided. Please wear closed toe shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting a bit grubby. Maximum class size is 6 people.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations by Creative Space: • In the event we need to cancel the course or workshop for whatever reason you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another date free of charge. Cancellations by the attendee: • For courses booked and paid directly through Creative Space a refund of 85% will be given up to 14 days prior to the course start date. The fee is to allow for admin and payment processing costs. If a student cancels within 14 days we are unable to offer a refund. • If your circumstances change e.g. due to work commitments, childcare issues, moving away etc. a refund will not be given within 14 days of the workshop. • We consider all requests on an individual basis, depending on the circumstances. Rescheduling: • You may transfer to another course or workshop up to 14 days before the start date.
