Kate's Art Club for Kids
*School Holiday Sessions*

If your little ones enjoy painting, experimenting with craft materials and generally getting creative, these sessions will be right up their street!

Each day, Kate will lead a four-hour workshop for children age 7 - 12 years. Kate from Little Leaf Press is an artist and experienced teacher who loves sharing her passion and skills with others. These sessions provide each child with the confidence to have a go and also the opportunity to take an activity in their own creative direction.Kate will offer a range of activities, with a different focus each day:

Linoprinting

This workshop gives you all the skills and equipment you need for linocut printmaking. Kate is big on simple techniques which provide striking results. She'll break down this creative printing process step-by-step. From composing your design to cutting and printing your block, and using a fantastic 'Woodzilla' printing press for the best results.

This workshop is perfect for all levels and abilities, with no experience needed.

All materials, tools, tea and coffee are included.

Botanical Printing

Come and make beautiful botanical prints in this simple and playful workshop.

Printmaker Steph Renshaw will show you how to capture the beautiful forms and intricate details of leaves and flowers by printing directly from the plants themselves.

We'll be using a mini printing press to pick up an amazing amount of detail.

No drawing skills or previous print experience is necessary, Steph will guide you through the process step by step. 

By the end of the workshop you'll have produced your own collection of gorgeous prints to take home.

Gelliplate Printing

Gelliplate printing is a vibrant, effective - and quick- printing technique. Want to have a go at making printed artwork but not sure where to begin? This fun and simple printing approach is a great place to start!

Gelliplate printing is a type of mono printing, where you use gelatin-like plates and colourful inks to create beautiful designs.

You will roll the ink out onto the plate, before placing stencils or objects over it and then printing onto a surface. It's fun, soothing and makes totally unique artwork. Just watch and see what you create!

Drypoint/Tetrapak Printing

Come along to a relaxed workshop where you can master some new skills. Learn how to print using a method called drypoint and get to grips with a printing press in this experience. Beginners - it's a great workshop to introduce you to the world of drypoint! Intermediates- come along to try adding a collage layer, called chine colle, to the printing process & of course return to use the printing press for more of your own creations! £50

Blossoms and Blooms Print

Join me Liz for a tranquil and rejuvenating 'Slow Sunday' workshop, where you'll immerse yourself in the art of low-tech printmaking techniques to craft your own stunning spring floral print and/or greeting cards. Take a peaceful pause and indulge in a couple of unhurried hours, allowing yourself the pleasure of a slower pace amidst the beauty of spring blossoms.

With gentle guidance, you'll learn the art of using printmaking inks, rollers, and colour mixing techniques to bring the essence of spring florals to life on paper. This workshop is designed to be an inclusive and enjoyable experience for all skill levels, from beginners seeking a new hobby to seasoned artists keen on exploring fresh techniques. £40

Make your own Bristol Balloon Print
With Slow Sunday

You'll not only learn the techniques to make the artwork but will leave the session with your very own A3 print. 

The workshops are also designed to offer a slice of time away from your busy and hectic schedules to spend a couple of hours at a slower pace. This adult only workshop (16 yrs+) will guide you through cutting paper stencils and using printmaking inks and rollers to create a beautiful piece of artwork. 

Suitable for all levels of experience, from total beginner to experienced artist looking to explore new techniques.

All materials are provided. £35 for the adult class, Liz also runs a Family session some Sundays and during School Holidays. £40 for adult & child.

Play with Printmaking
6 weeks or single sessions

Keen to spend some time each week being creative within a small friendly group? Come along to these relaxed weekly printmaking Wednesday morning sessions!
Here you can quickly pick up the basics of a selection of absorbing printmaking techniques in just a couple of weeks, then experiment with a range of tools, materials and colours to create different effects. £25 per session or £120 for the full course of 6.
